Nick Caprino is Deputy Director and staff attorney at Children's Law Center, serving as second-in-command to the Executive Director. In this role, Nick manages day-to-day operations, guides staff, and helps turn the Director's broader goals into action, providing leadership continuity across the organization
As an attorney, Nick provides legal representation to child victims of crime across criminal prosecutions, family court, and other legal matters. He also handles education-access cases and works to connect children and their caregivers with legal advice, referrals, and community resources. Nick's work is concentrated in Northern Kentucky, with ongoing collaboration with CLC's Lexington office.
Nick began his legal career as a public defender in the Department of Public Advocacy’s Covington, Kentucky, Trial Office, where he practiced for nearly a decade before joining CLC. He holds a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and he served one year with AmeriCorps.
Nick is married with two children. Outside of work, he enjoys movies and running long distances.
