Sam Showalter is a Paralegal and Community Advocate in Children's Law Center's Lexington office, often serving as the first point of contact for potential clients. Sam conducts intake interviews, supports attorneys with case management, and builds relationships with schools, nonprofits, and social service agencies across the Lexington region. As a Spanish and French speaker, he's committed to helping minimize language barriers and increase access to resources for the families CLC serves.

A lifelong Kentuckian (aside from a few years in the Washington, D.C. area), Sam holds an M.A. in Sociology from George Mason University and a B.A. in Sociology from Transylvania University. Before joining CLC, he taught English as a Second Language in Scott County and worked in International Admissions at George Mason.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his three dogs.
